A MERRY
WELCOME!

Hi, I’m Joany. Welcome to Wicked Merry.

I created this magical pirate world because I believe everybody needs a place to escape to; a place filled with adventure, romance, laughter, fun times, and an epic happy ever after.

Wicked Merry began as a pirate ship in one of my stories, became a beach bar, and somehow grew into an entire world of swashbuckle & swoon.

Along the way three inspirations helped chart the course: Henry Beston's "The Outermost House" and his enchanting Cape Cod; the epic (and tragic) true love story of pirate Black Sam Bellamy and Maria Hallett; and Jimmy Buffett whose music, stories and lifestyle taught us that escape can be joyful, thoughtful, ridiculously fun, and purposeful.

Here you'll find pirate adventures, swoony romance, books, games, activities, and quite possibly a parrot who has something inappropriate to say. Mostly though I hope Wicked Merry becomes someplace you enjoy visiting.

Come for the pirates. Stay for the swoon.

Have a little rum, a lot of fun, and fall in love.

And as Ted, our celebrity parrot, would tell you:

"Never underestimate the importance of a well-placed hammock."
